Just wanted to share this with you all; you need not a "special Valentine" to remember a special friend!

To My Best Friend:

Remember back--when we were small,
And life was so carefree
I often think
Of all the times we shared
Just you and me
We used to fight and bicker
And pout and yell and laugh;
And each one blamed the other
For the things that came to pass
Holding hands at Disneyland
With "Mickey Mouse,"
Holding hands in our teens
As we ran far from our house
Sitting in a squad car,
Trying to prove sobriety,
We held hands once again
And through the back roads we did flee
We chased the wind together
Sometimes blown away,
Resilience and fortitude
Helped to show our way
Time moved on, and we grew up
Longing to be free,
Distance has no meaning
It's just geography
You'll always be my Special Friend,
My Sister and my strength
For you I'd walk a million miles;
And go to any length
To have you in my life
Is more precious than silver or gold;
We'll stand together -- near and far;
And exchange our hidden secrets
Never for others to be told
So on this very special day
I think of you and wish you all the best,
For happiness and blessings
As I think of us and reminisce
Better days are yet to come
And in my prayers you'll always be;
So let's grow old together
--and make that recipe...
A pound of love and kindness,
A ton of memories,
A fifth of some "Jack Daniels"
A mighty fine iced tea...

Friends Forever!
Happy Valentine's Day,
Your "Walton Sister"

P.S.:

Wherever your station in life, my wish for all of you is to try and remember someone, be it far or near-lest they dissapear... Life is too precious--Have a wonderful day -- and know that someone out there loves you!!!

Think the ancient Greeks had something in making a distinction between eros and agape. Or, as the late Lord Buckley asked his audience in a southside Chicago nightclub catering to gamblers, hookers and other lowlifes: "My lords and ladies, would it embarrass you if I told you I loved you?" As I gradually disengage from the work comp world in which I worked for many years, my heart goes out to the many who are frustrated and hurting. Best wishes to all of you.
