I was hurt in 10/01 at work(lower back).I was out on WC until 03/02.I returned to work with no restrictions. In 2004 I started having pain again my doctor told me it was the same injury.I contacted my job and they contacted my adjuster.meanwhile I was treated with my private insurance.I had a QME in late 2004 he agreed that it was the same injury.WC still refused to pay for treatment.I finally hired an attorney because I couldn't get treatment. And he and the WC attorney sent me to an AME.At the same time My Doctor cleared me with no job restrictons. My Company sent me for a functional capacity test and I past it.I contacted my companies medical dept and they told me thay want to see the AME report.I just got the AME report from my attorney. The AME gave me restrictions that disqualify me from my job or my essential job functions. What can I do?I've been at my job for over 18years the last thing I wanted was to be disqualified. There are lots of jobs at my work that I can do but they put very high work restrictions that cover my Job title even know I can bid jobs that are under my restrictions. Is there a way to disagree with the AMEs restictions?Or can I send him my F C E test results?I know my attorney doesn't want my rating to drop but my job means more to me than an award.
