From one perspective this is a "War Story".

I'm celebrating. After a nearly unprecedented 4 months of uninterrupted TTD, I was able to afford to buy the first new shoes in over two years. No new shoes, for two years.... Given my case/injuries, the adjectives range from "Why?!" to "Unf^(&!#&!"

Today shoes, next month underwear! At this rate I'll be acceptable to rejoin the human race in the next year or so.

WC: Subtlety demeaning IW's since 2004, if not longer...

(Points to the first to get the "Shoes for industry" inference.)

Hey Art,

This is great! I am hoping you get the underwear sooner though. :-) I know on $870 a month I am behind before the rent is paid. Thanks to the kindness of people I know, they offer some help each month and I get by. I get little boxes of food from one friend and another occasionally helps with cleaning things around the house. One former neighbor gives me some kind of nuts when I come and visit his wife. I use it to give to friends who visit and help me clean.

I think the shoe refernce may be to the "sh...." we have to stand in as injured employees. We only have to wait until 2010.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Take care,

Marygrace~
