I suggest ALL professionals in the system immediately go to http://www.fortune.com/fortune/ceo/articles/0,15114,1086177,00.html and read this most astounding account of how Hank Greenberg, former CEO of AIG, set out to steal millions of dollars from state workers' compensation funds, laughed at the suggestions that it was illegal ("If we were legal, we wouldn't be in business") and then attempted to have the insider legal counsel who backed him against the wall squelched.
Not only did Greenberg know this was going on, he condoned it. And he refused to fix it because he knew that it would cost the company hundreds of millions of dollars, and result in the prosecution of key executives (including himself) for fraud.
And this was in 1992...
Anyone remember DEREGULATION???
